Cucumber is a Nova Scotia duck tolling retriever. Like every dog, she does a particular thing several times a day, and like every dog owner, we have taken far more photographs of her doing it than we would care to defend. The wide-eyed stare. The total concentration. The eye contact that asks, plainly, whether you intend to keep watching.
Somewhere in 2025 a lot of people arrived at the same idea at once: that these photographs, framed properly and hung in a bathroom, are funnier and frankly better than whatever is currently hanging there. It spread on TikTok. People started making them by hand, four small frames at a time, and hanging them above the toilet.
We tried it. The idea is great. The execution is a pain. Getting four photos to sit together, converting them so they read as a set, getting the margins right, hanging four frames straight: that is an afternoon, and most of the results we saw looked like a group chat printed out.
So we built the version that does it for you. Upload four photos, watch the layout assemble in the browser, pay, and about a week later a single framed 11 x 14 gallery print arrives, ready to hang. That is the entire company.
How it is actually made
We are not a print shop and we do not pretend to be. Your four photographs are composed into one high-resolution print file in your browser, then produced by a commercial fine art printer: 200gsm fine art paper, hand-framed in solid wood behind glaze, hanging hardware fitted, shipped direct to you. Made to order, every time, which is why it takes 5 to 10 business days instead of two.
The frame is real wood, in black or white. The print is 11 x 14 inches. If you add your dog's name it is set beneath the photographs in gallery-label type, which is the detail that makes people lean in and then laugh.
Why the photos are yours
There are cheaper versions of this joke. You can buy a cartoon of a generic dog on a toilet for nine dollars, and plenty of people do. It is a fine gift and it is not what this is.
The reason this one works is that it is your dog, in your yard, in a photograph you actually took, treated with the seriousness normally reserved for landscapes. Nobody double-takes at a cartoon. Everybody double-takes at a real photograph of a real dog they have met, framed like it belongs in a museum. That gap is the whole product, and it is why we will never sell you clip art.
Who makes this
PuppyPoops is made by One Hit Ventures LLC, a small California company founded by Nohtal Partansky. It is not a marketplace, a dropshipping storefront, or a print-on-demand catalogue with ten thousand designs. It is one product, made properly, sold by people who own a dog and thought this was funny enough to build.
Cucumber was the first customer. She has not commented.
The dollar
A dollar from every order goes to the Los Angeles County Animal Care Foundation. One dollar, every order, no asterisk and no minimum.
They fund the things the county budget does not stretch to: spay and neuter, medical care for animals who arrive hurt, grooming for the ones nobody looks twice at yet, and emergency rescue when something goes wrong. They are a short drive from us, and they are the reason a lot of LA dogs are somebody's dog.
We are not going to put a ribbon on the checkout page about it. It is a small thing. But the entire product depends on dogs doing something undignified in front of a camera, and a share of it should go back to the ones who do not currently have anybody photographing them at all.
